PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN ABU SEKAM PADI DAN LIMBAH KARBIT PADA TANAH LEMPUNG TERHADAP NILAI CBR (CALIFORNIA BEARING RATIO) RENDAMAN
Clay soil is one of the most common problematic soil types in Indonesia. Clay soils are considered problematic because they have low bearing capacity, high shrink-swell and high plasticity. Clay soil can cause harm to a construction built on it, so it is necessary to make improvements to improve the technical properties of the soil. Improvement efforts that can be done is by means of soil stabilization. In this study, the stabilization used was a mixture of rice husk ash and calcium carbide residue. The level of addition of rice husk ash is 9% with variations in the addition of calcium carbide residue, namely 3%, 6%, 9%, 12%, and 15%. The test method used was in the form of the soaked CBR test with treatment times of 0 days, 3 days, and 7 days. Based on the results of laboratory tests, it was shown that a mixture of rice husk ash and calcium carbide residue could significantly increase the CBR value. The highest CBR value was obtained, which was 175.18% in a mixture of 9% rice husk ash and 15% calcium carbide residue for 7 days of treatment with a change in CBR value reaching 2370.80%. The test results showed that the higher the mixture used and the length of the treatment period, the higher the CBR value produced.
