KUALITAS BAKTERIOLOGIS AIR DI KULONG BIRU, KABUPATEN BANGKA TENGAH, PROVINSI KEPULAUAN BANGKA BELITUNG
Kulong Biru is one of the former tin mining pits located in Nibung Village, Central Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. Now Kulong Biru has been used by the people as a tourist destination. Standardization of water quality in Kulong Biru with reference to Government Regulation Number 22 of 2021 and Minister of Health Regulation Number 32 of 2017 are important things to do as a basis for determining the regulations to be applied in Kulong Biru. coliform bacteria is one of the pollution indicators that is commonly used in assessing the quality of a waters. Bacterial activity is generally influenced by environmental factors such as pH, salinity, DO (Dissolved Oxygen), BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand), and heavy metals. The purpose of this study was to analyze the bacteriological quality of underground water (total coliform, faecal coliform and Escherichia coli) at the Kulong Biru tourist site and to test the feasibility of water quality (coliform bacteria, pH, salinity, DO, BOD, and heavy metal Fe) in Kulong Biru as a water recreation facility/infrastructure based on the second class water quality criteria in Government Regulation Number 22 of 2021 and as public bath water in Minister of Health Regulation Number 32 of 2017. Sampling was done by purposive sampling method. Sampling was carried out at 6 points consisting of 3 points in blue water and 3 points in green water. The methods used in this study include the MPN (Most Probable Number) method and measurement of environmental factors (pH, salinity, DO, BOD, and heavy metal Fe). Based on the research, it was found that the amount of Escherichia coli was 1.8 cell/100 ml which indicated that the water under the Kulong Biru tourist spot was not heavily polluted by coliform bacteria and other pathogenic bacteria. The water quality (parameters of salinity, DO, BOD, heavy metal Fe) at the Kulong Biru tourist site has met the requirements for second class water quality in Government Regulation Number 22 of 2021 as water recreation facilities/infrastructure, while the pH parameter has not met the requirements.
