PENGOLAHAN PASIR SUNGAI MUSI SKALA LABORATORIUM UNTUK HILIRISASI PEMANFAATAN BAHAN BAKU INDUSTRI CONBLOCK
River sand is sand that is sourced from excavation or mining in rivers. The sand used in this experiment was taken from the Musi River, District II Ilir. This downstream work was carried out in an experiment using a sluice box using the gravity concentration method and differences in grain size in the sand. Sluice box is a separator between concentrate and impurities using water as a auxiliary medium. This research was conducted to test the effectiveness of the riffle height, the distance between the riffles and the slope of the sluice box then the river sand results from the process will be continued with a mud content test, sieving (gradation) and compressive strength test (after becoming a conblock), these results must meet conblock industry standard (SNI 03-0691-1996). The experimental results show that the smaller the slope of the deck, the greater the concentration obtained because the feed movement is stable and the slope is gentle with a large value of 2.38 ° (5 cm). Variations in riffle height carried out in this study showed that the greater the riffle height value, the greater the concentrate produced, with a value of 0.8 cm. The variation of the riffle distance that is carried out is the smaller the value of the riffle distance, the greater the concentrate obtained because of the amount of concentrate that will be stuck in the riffle, with a riffle distance value of 10 cm. From the results of testing the quality of the mud content, the average mud content is 0.5%, which means that it meets the standard mud content of no more than 5%. The results of the fine aggregate test with an average fine modulus resulting from the river sand washing process is 2.01 which falls into the category of gradation zone zone 3 which shows the grain size of fine sand. The block quality analysis only tested the compressive strength. A total of three samples of conblocks had compressive strength values of 11.34 MPa, 10.32 Mpa, and 9.19 Mpa. From the results of the tests carried out, these results have entered the quality category D (used in gardens) with a minimum compressive strength of 8.5 MPa.
