EKSPLORASI FUNGI ENDOFIT BUAH KABAU (Archidendron bubalinum (Jack) I.C. Nielsen) SEBAGAI PENGHASIL SENYAWA ANTIBAKTERI
Endophytic fungi are fungi that grow and can form colonies in plant tissues. Endophytic fungi can produce the same secondary metabolite active compounds as the host plant. Kabau fruit contains secondary metabolites, namely alkaloids, phenols, flavonoids, tannins, terpenoids or steroids, mono or sesquiterpenes, quinones and saponins, one of which has activity as an antibacterial compound. This study aimed to obtain endophytic fungi isolates from kabau fruit, to determine the antibacterial activity of endophytic fungi secondary metabolite extracts, to determine the class of compounds of endophytic fungi secondary metabolites extracts and to determine the characteristics of endophytic fungi isolates that have high potential as antibacterial. Based on the research, 7 isolates of endophytic fungi were obtained from kabau fruit. The antibacterial activity test showed that isolates KBT1J1, KBT1J2 and KBM4J1 had the highest inhibition zones against E. coli, namely 12 mm, 19 mm, 11 mm and against S. aureus that is 14 mm, 17 mm, 12 mm. KBT1J1 isolate extracts contain terpenoid secondary metabolites, KBT1J2 and KBM4J1 isolates contain phenol secondary metabolites. The endophytic fungi isolate KBT1J1 identified as Fusarium sp, KBT1J2 identified as Daldinia sp, and KBM4J1 identified as Diaporthe sp.
