INVENTARISASI VEGETASI SEBAGAI PELINDUNG DAMPAK KEGIATAN STOCKPILE BATU BARA DI DERMAGA KERTAPATI
Kertapati has a coal loading and unloading ship dock owned by three mining companies.activities stockpile resulted in the area opposite the pier on the banks of the Musi River being affected by coal dust. Coal dust causes a lot of harm to a decrease in air quality. Therefore, it is necessary to inventory the existing vegetation in the impact area as a protection due to the impact of stockpile coalThe types of plants in the impact area (Tangga Buntung) have not been systematically informed. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the vegetation inventory of existing plant species to determine the types of plants that are suitable as dust absorbers. Data collection began in February 2021 in the Kertapati Pier area, coal loading and unloading area and Tangga Buntung area. This research is an exploratory descriptive research. The method used is the roaming method using the path. Observations were made at each point that was determined systematically based on a distance of ± 150 m. In the plants found at the research location, the species and the place where they were found were recorded. The data obtained from the field are presented descriptively. Based on the results of the Vegetation Inventory in Stockpile the Coal Stockpile, of the 18 families there were 26 species. Plants that function as particle absorbing plants and absorb gaseous pollutants include breadfruit (Artocarpus altilis Fosberg), cherry cherry (Muntingia calabura L.), mango (Mangifera indica L.), guava (Syzygium aquenum (Burm.F.) Alston), sapodilla (Manilkara zapota (L.) van Royen), lead tree (Leucocepha leucocephala), coastal cottonwood (Hibiscus tiliaceus L.), durian (Durio zibethinus Murr.), crape myrtle (Lagerstroemia speciosa L.), and mahogany (Swietenia mahagoni (L.) Jacq.) because these plant species have high crown density, thin leaves, there are trichomes, the number of lots of leaves, and close spacing.
