ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the tidal pattern in the waters of Pari Island and its possible impact on the distribution of salinity and temperature of seawater. The background for this research is an increase in reclamation development activities around the coastal waters of Pari Island, which causes changes in oceanographic parameters, both physical, biological and chemical. One of the physical parameters that are affected is tides. It is known that currently the tides on Pari Island are not optimal due to the narrowing of the coastal area as a result of the development and reclamation around the coast in some parts of the Kepulauan Seribu. The analysis of tidal patterns in the waters of Pari Island in this study used the U_Tide program which was processed with Matlab software. Then to see the possible impact of tides on the distribution of salinity and seawater temperature, an analysis was carried out using Surfer Software. The data used in this study was obtained from Conductivity-Temperature-Depth (CTD) data from the COREMAP-CTI Capacity Development Research Program in February 2021 and tidal prediction data for 2 years (2020 - 2021) obtained from the Information Agency website Geospatial (BIG). The results of this study indicate that the tidal type in Pari Island waters is a single daily tidal type (diurnal type) using the U_Tide program resulting in a Formzahl value of 4.69. The highest salinity distribution in Pari Island waters at high tide is 30.4 psu, while the highest salinity distribution at low tide is 31.1 psu. The highest temperature distribution in Pari Island waters during high tide is 28.3°C while the highest temperature distribution at low tide is 28.5°C. In this study, the effect of tides on the distribution of salinity and temperature is not clearly visible because the data used are instantaneous (not continuous) and only a few observation points. Keywords: High Tide, Low Tide, Pari Island, Salinity, Temperature
