PT. Bukit Tambi Mine is a private company engaged in the coal mining business, located in Batanghari district, Jambi. Monthly coal production target at PT. The Bukit Tambi mine is 80,000 tonnes. PT. Bukit Tambi Mine plans to open a new pit, namely Pit 6 to replace pit 4 which is almost reaching the mining limit. Pit 6 is designed using AutoCAD2017 software and CivilSurpac 6.6.2 which is divided into two mining stages. The design of pit 6 is expected to meet the target stripping ratio of 5:1. In the design pit block 1 has a total coal reserve of 492,370 tons and volume of overburden 1,181,129 BCM with a stripping ratio of 2.4. The digging and loading equipment needed are 2 digging tools and 15 hauling tools in coal mining as well as 3 loading and unloading tools and 10 conveyances forstripping overburden. Thematch factor resultingis 0.45 for coal mining and 0.86 forstripping overburden. In the design of pit block 2, it has a total coal reserve of 493,023 tons and volume of 1,482,009 overburden BCM with a stripping ratio of 3. The digging and loading equipment needed are 2 digging tools and 15 transportation equipment in coal mining as well as 3 digging tools and 12 conveyances forstripping overburden. Thematch factor resultingis 0.45 for coal mining and 0.82 for stripping overburden
