SKRINING AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN FRAKSI-FRAKSI DARI TUMBUHAN OBAT MASYARAKAT KAYU AGUNG YANG TERSELEKSI
Free radicals in the body can cause various degenerative diseases such as cancer, rheumatism and diabetes, to protect the body from the effects of free radicals, an antioxidant compound is needed. This study aimed to determine the antioxidant activity, total flavonoid content, total phenolic content and characterization of the seed and leaf fractions of avocado (Persea Americana Mill), asoka leaf (Ixora coccinea L), leaf and bark of matoa (Pometia pinnata). The maceration method was carried out by graded maceration on n-hexane, ethyl acetate and methanol as solvents. Determination of antioxidant activity was carried out on the fractions using the DPPH method. Total flavonoid and total phenolic levels using UV-Vis spectrophotometry. The results showed that the n-hexane fraction had very strong antioxidant activity from avocado seeds and matoa bark at 35.82 g/mL and 46.74 g/mL, while the ethyl acetate and methanol fractions had very strong antioxidant activity (
