AKUMULASI LOGAM BERAT TIMBAL (Pb) DAN TEMBAGA (Cu) PADA SEDIMEN, AKAR DAN DAUN MANGROVE Sonneratia caseolaris DI PULAU PAYUNG, KABUPATEN BANYUASIN
Water pollution can have an impact on coastal biological resources, including mangroves. One example of water pollution that has an impact on mangroves is the heavy metals lead (Pb) and copper (Cu). The coastal area in South Sumatra that has a mangrove community is Payung Island in the Musi River Estuary. This study aimed to analyze the content of heavy metals Pb and Cu in the sediment, roots and leaves of the S. caseolaris and to identity the bioconcentration and translocation factors of heavy metals Pb and Cu S. caseolaris. Sampling was carried out on August 28, 2020, sample preparation was carried out at the Oceanography and Marine Instrumentation Laboratory, then heavy metal analysis was carried out at the UPTD Environmental Laboratory (BLH) Palembang. The results of the analysis showed that the distribution of Pb and Cu in the sediment, roots and leaves showed levels ranging from 0.0180 ppm - 0.1911 for Pb and 0.11186 ppm - 0.7538 ppm for Cu. Based on the value of the bioconcentration factor (BCF), S. caseolaris is categorized as Moderate Accumulator Plants (BCF1) at station 1 and phytoextraction (TF< 1) at station 2 for Pb metal and Cu heavy metal was not found in the roots and leaves of S. caseolaris.
