PENGARUH MEDIA ATRAKTAN TERHADAP JUMLAH INDIVIDU YANG BERKUNJUNG DAN KAPASITAS REPRODUKSI IMAGO LALAT TENTARA HITAM (Hermentia illucens L.)
The use of maggot Hermentia illucens L. has recently increased among the public. Cultivation or rearing of the black army fly H. illucens has commercial prospects in the industrial sector (animal feed, medicine, cosmetics, sewage treatment, and organic liquid fertilizer), but still has various obstacles. This will result in a low population in the mass production of H. illucens flies. The study used an experimental method using a Randomized Block Design with 4 treatments and 6 replications. Parameters observed were the number of individual H. illucens flies that visited, reproductive capacity including egg group and egg weight and the comparison of the lifespan of male and female H. illucens flies. The attractant media consisted of Treatment 1 (P1) = 100 % Fermented Bran, Treatment 2 (P2) = 100 % Fermented Tapioca Onggok, Treatment 3 (P3) = 50 % Fermented Pineapple, 25 % Bran, 25 % Tapioca Onggok, Treatment 4 (P4) = Fermented Papaya 50%, Bran 25%, Tapioca Onggok 25%. The results of the study using the ANOVA test showed significantly different results (P 0.05), Duncan's further test was carried out and it turned out that the administration of different attractant media to the imago of H. illucens flies had a significant effect on the given parameters. The best media in this study was in treatment media 3 (Fermented Pineapple 50%, Bran 25%, Onggok Tapioca 25%).
