ANALISIS PENGARUH DEBIT AIR DAN FREKUENSI STROKE PADA SHAKING TABLE TERHADAP PENCUCIAN BATUBARA UNTUK MEMENUHI STANDAR KADAR ABU SEBAGAI BAHAN BAKAR PLTU
Washing is an effort made to improve the quality of coal, so that the coal meets certain usage requirements, including cleaning to reduce inorganic impurities. Coal washing aims to separate the impurity material in an effort to improve coal quality so that the ash content is reduced. Shaking Table is a gravity concentration tool that works based on differences in specific gravity in a thin layer (flowing film) in a fluid medium on a relatively flat deck surface. In this study, the initial coal proximate test was conducted and it was found that the volatile matter was 18%, the water content was 23%, the ash content was 20% and the calorific value was 2972 Kcal/kg. The results of the experiment were then carried out laboratory tests to determine the coal ash before and after the experiment was carried out. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the greater the water discharge and the frequency of the stroke used, the higher the ash content of the washed coal tends to increase, as well as the increasing yield. The most ideal condition in this experiment is the 10th experiment where the stroke frequency is 70x/minute with a water flow of 29 liters/minute. The yield obtained is 61.20% and the ash content is 7.88% which in these conditions has met the standard of fuel for steam power plants
