K-MEANS CLUSTERING KABUPATEN/KOTA DI SUMATERA SELATAN BERDASARKAN PERSEBARAN CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 PADA TIGA PERIODE (SEPTEMBER 2020-AGUSTUS 2021)
This study aims to group 17 regencies/cities in South Sumatera based on the characteristics of the cluster level COVID-19 spread. Grouping in three periods was carried out to determine the development of the spread of COVID-19 cases. The period used is period 1 (September-December 2020), period 2 (January-April 2021), and period 3 (May-August 2021). Grouping is carried out with K-Means Cluster forming 2, 3, and 4 clusters. The variables used are the total of patients from suspects, close contacts, self-isolation, treatment, recovery, death, and the total population of regencies/cities in South Sumatera. Based on the progress of the case, the grouping is consistent in all periods. The results showed that Palembang City (5.88%) formed its group as cluster 1 in grouping 2, 3, and 4 clusters. The grouping 2 cluster for members of cluster 2 are 16 regencies/cities (94.12%). The grouping 3 cluster for members of clusters 2 and 3 are 5 regencies (29.41%) and 11 regencies/cities (64.71%). The next grouping 4 clusters produced members of clusters 2, 3 and 4 respectively 5 regencies (29.41%), 6 regencies (35.30%) and 5 regencies/cities (29.41%). The optimal cluster testing resulted in the selection of 2 clusters as optimal cluster with the Silhouette Coefficient value in the period 1,2, and 3 of 0.72294, 0.72294, and 0.72298.
