PENINGKATAN KADAR SILIKA UNTUK MEMENUHI KEBUTUHAN INDUSTRI KERAMIK DI LABORATORIUM PENGOLAHAN BAHAN GALIAN FAKULTAS TEKNIK UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA
Mineral processing activities are activities to increase the value of minerals. One of the tools commonly used is a shaking table using the principle of differences in specific gravity. The applied variable becomes the benchmark for concentrate gain which is as expected. The level is the standard for the success of the processing carried out. The application of variable stroke frequency and riffle slope applied to the separation of quartz sand with impurities to obtain the amount of sio2 according to the criteria of sni iso 13006:2010 for the ceramic industry. Initially, the average level of sio2 before processing was 77.99% of the total sample weight of 1000gram. Various results are produced after processing with predetermined variable methods. This study resulted in the acquisition of levels that are inversely proportional to recovery. These gains from the stroke frequency which had higher concentration levels but lower recovery. For the slope of the riffle, the more sloping it is, the higher the concentration level but the lower the recovery. The highest gain was found in the 90 stroke frequency variable and the 40o riffle slope of 98.75%. The highest recovery gain is found in the variable frequency of stroke 30 and the slope of the riffle 0o worth 82.14%. The calculation is obtained after performing a microscopic analysis using the grain counting analysis or gca
