PENENTUAN LOKASI TEMPAT PEMBUANGAN SEMENTARA STRATEGIS DI KECAMATAN KERTAPATI DAN SUKARAMI MENGGUNAKAN MODEL SET COVERING PROBLEM DAN GREEDY REDUCTION ALGORITHM
One of the biggest problems faced by big cities is the waste problem. The increase in the amount of waste in Palembang is directly proportional to the increase in residents every year negatively impacts the community. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize the waste problem. This study discusses the location of strategic Temporary Disposal Places (TPS) in Kertapati and Sukarami Districts using the SCLP model and p-Median Problem and implementing the Greedy Reduction Algorithm. Based on calculations using the p-Median Problem model with LINGO 13.0 and the p-Median Problem solved by the Greedy Reduction Algorithm, five strategic TPS locations for Kertapati District and three strategic TPS locations for Sukarami District were obtained. In Kertapati District, it is recommended to add 1 TPS for Karya Jaya Sub-district and Sukarami District it is recommended to add 2 TPS, namely 1 TPS in Sukodadi Village and 1 TPS in Talang Betutu Village.
