ANALISIS MORFOMETRI TERHADAP PERUBAHAN SUNGAI MENGGUNAKAN PENGINDERAAN JAUH PADA SUNGAI BATANG SUKAM, KECAMATAN LUBUK TAROK, KABUPATEN SIJUNJUNG, SUMATERA BARAT.
Batang Sukam river is located in Sijunjung Regency, West Sumatra with a research area of 9 x 9 km. The changes that occur are caused by several factors such as erosion processes and deposition, these processes are related to the characteristics of the river. Changes in river morphometry were identified by processing Landsat satellite image data in 1996 with 2021 to visualize the comparison of river flows. River morphometric characteristics were carried out by analyzing drainage diversity with morphometric parameters in the form of drainage density, flow frequency, drainage texture, drainage intensity, infiltration number, length of overland flow and bifurcation ratio which determined that the Batang Sukam river had the possibility of flooding based on its characteristics. Settlements and vegetation around the river will change the twists and turns of the river, especially in areas of river erosion. This study is useful for estimating the description of morphological evolution and twists and turns in the Batang Sukam river and its influence on the local environment so that it can assist evaluations in understanding and adapting between rural locations or the surrounding environment.
