Medan is one of several cities in Indonesia that has cultural heritage building assets. Revitalization is one way to empower and accommodate a function that supports efforts to preserve Cultural Heritage buildings. Warenhuis Building is one part of the Cultural Heritage area in Medan City. Pemko Medan is currently planning the reuse of the Ex Warenhuis Building. Currently, the state of art development in Medan City is relatively slow due to lack of attention, especially in facilities, even though artists have great potential. The revitalization of the Ex-Warenhuis Building as an Education Center and the Painting Art Gallery of Medan City facilitates the main facilities and supporting facilities. The approach used in this design is a conservation approach with revitalization efforts. Revitalization efforts are carried out using the building infill method on vacant land around the site with a contrast approach. The transfer of functions in planning and designing the revitalization of the ex Warenhuis building must pay attention to and adapt to the existing structural system by restoring the strength of the structure, and must also be able to maintain and restore the building's facade as it originally looked without having to add and reduce the external appearance. The revitalization of the ex-Warenhuis building is under the ownership of the Medan City Government. The target is all levels of society, therefore education centers and painting galleries are designed to not only meet the needs of people who are physically fit but also to meet the needs of people with special needs such as people with disabilities in order to create buildings that can facilitate and provide a sense of security and comfort for users
