The Musi River estuary is used by the community for various activities such as transportation, agriculture and residential areas. This condition causes pollution in the aquatic environment, including heavy metal pollution. The purpose of this study was to analyze the content of heavy metals Pb (Lead) and Cu (Copper) in water, sediment and gastropod species Nerita balteata and Cerithidea obtusa in the Musi River Estuary area and water quality conditions based on water quality standards. This research was carried out in October – December 2021 in the Musi River Estuary Area with 5 station points spread over the Breech Settlement Area, Tanjung Carat and Payung Island. Heavy metal analysis using AAS (Automic Absorption Spectrophotometer) method and data analysis using PCA test. The results showed the concentration of heavy metal Pb in water at station 1 was 0.0082 mg/L, while for stations 2 - station 5 the concentration of Cu metal in water was not detected. The concentration of Pb in the sediment ranged from 1.261 to 4.329 mg/kg and Cu ranged from 0.193 to 3.296 mg/kg. Heavy metal Pb in Nerita balteata ranged from 0.002 to 0.004 mg/kg and Cu ranged from 0.004 to 0.024 mg/kg. The concentration of heavy metal Pb in Cheritidea obtusa ranged from 0.002 to 0.003 mg/kg and Cu ranged from 0.005 to 0.016 mg/kg. The concentration of heavy metals Pb and Cu in each sample was still below the quality standard threshold. The results of PCA analysis showed 3 main component groups, namely F1 (positive), F1 (negative) and F2 (positive). F1 (positive) with metal Pb in water, Pb metal in sediment, Pb metal in Nerita balteata and Cu metal in sediment at stations 1 and 2. F1 (negative) with variables pH, DO, Temperature, salinity, Pb metal on Cerithidea obtusa and Cu metal on Nerita balteata located at stations 4 and 5. F2 (positive) with Cu metal variable on Cerithidae obtusa located at stations.
