PENCARIAN RUTE TERBAIK PADA AUTONOMOUS ELECTRIC VEHICLE BERBASIS GPS MENGGUNAKAN ALGORITMA A-STAR
Route search is very important for autonomous vehicles. Because the vehicle can determine the direction of the destination when driving. Route search can use various algorithms, but the algorithm in previous studies requires a longer computational time. Thus, in this study, the A* algorithm was used to create a mapping to find the best route and the fastest path on an autonomous electric vehicle. The A* algorithm is a shortest route search algorithm that uses a heuristic function to get optimal results, where this algorithm is the most effective for finding the shortest route on a static road. From the results of research conducted on two routes at the Palembang and Indralaya campuses, the A* algorithm can be used to determine the mapping with the best route using input from the latitude and longitude positions provided by the global positioning system (GPS). The shortest route taken from the research results for the Palembang campus is the ABCFG route and the shortest route on the Indralaya campus is ABCDGHI. A comparison of the actual distance with the distance measurement obtained from the A* algorithm shows a small error 5.9 meters on the Indralaya campus. These results indicate that the A* algorithm can be used for mapping autonomous vehicles so that vehicles can determine the best route.
