PROTOTIPE PEMBANGKIT LISTRIK TENAGA AIR (PLTA) MENGGUNAKAN POMPA HIDRAM DENGAN VARIASI BESAR PIPA PESAT
Renewable energy commonly used for power generation is from the sun, wind, water. Water is an important element in the life of living things. To flow water from low areas to high areas, a pump is needed. Hydram pumps can drain water without using electrical energy. In this study the authors designed and made a prototype of a hydroelectric power plant (PLTA) using a hydraulic ram pump with a large variation of rapid pipe. Based on the results of the test analysis using variations in the diameter of the rapid pipe size of inch, 1 inch, 1 inch, it is obtained that the 1 inch diameter variation produces the largest output. The voltage obtained from the diameter of the 1 inch pipe is 2.38 Volts and the current is 0.223 A so that the power obtained from the diameter of the 1 inch pipe is 0.454 watts. The difference between the diameter of the rapid pipe affects the voltage and current output of the prototype because the greater the water discharge, the greater the energy produced by the water. So that the mechanical energy used to rotate the turbine will also be greater. Key words: hydropower, hydraulic pump
