KOMPOSISI DAN DAN KELIMPAHAN HASIL TANGKAPAN NON IKAN DI KAWASAN EKOSISTEM MANGROVE PULAU PAYUNG, KABUPATEN BANYUASIN, PROVINSI SUMATRA SELATAN
Payung Island is one of the small islands in Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra, precisely located in the transition area between the Musi River and the Bangka Strait. The Musi River is classified as a brackish water area and is dominated by mangrove vegetation. Groups of aquatic organisms that live in mangrove areas consist of groups of fish (ikhtiofauna) and groups of non-fish (non-ichthiofauna). This research was conducted in August-November 2021, with the aim of analyzing the composition and abundance and potential of non-fish catch biomass using splint nets in the Payung Island Mangrove Area. The method used in this research is purposive sampling method. Based on the results of this study, two families were found, namely Palaemonidae and Panaeidae which included 6 species of shrimp including M. equidens, M. rosenbergii, P. sculptilis, P. merguiensis, M. ensis and M. monoceros. The most dominant species found at each station were P. merguiensis and M. ensis. The abundance of catch ranged from 11-60,100 ind/ha. The diversity index ranged from 0.16 to 1.41. Biomass of non-fish catches varied at each station ranging from 0.03-100 kg/ha
