Periodontitis can significantly lead to the risk of preeclampsia disease by means of bacterial infection and systemic inflammatory mediators through the blood circulation into the placenta. The purpose of this study was to determine a relationship between periodontitis and preeclampsia. The method used in this study was analytic survey with cross sectional approach Samples were 60 people, divided into 2 groups of 30 pregnant women with preeclampsia as the case group and 30 pregnant women who did not suffer preeclampsia as the control group.
