RANCANG BANGUN ALAT PRAKTIKUM GERAK JATUH BEBAS MENGGUNAKAN SENSOR INFRARED BERBASIS WIFI MIKROKONTROLLER NODEMCU ESP8266
Generally, the free fall motion practicum data collection is still using stopwatch. Thus, the accuracy resulted is relatively low. Moreover, the processing of the data is done manually which requires a lot of time. Therefore, the practicum tool for the free fall motion is developed using an infrared sensor then the data obtained will directly be transferred using Wi-Fi microcontroller NodeMCU ESP8266 to a spreadsheet. Using linear regression method, the data will then be processed to find the value of the gravitational acceleration. For hardware, this tool is using microcontroller NodeMCU ESP8266, infrared sensor, and LCD I2C 16x2. As for the software, this tool is using Arduino IDE and spreadsheet. The tool that has been designed is tested using balls with masses of 40 g and 70 g which are dropped from a height of 0.2 m, 0.4 m, 0.6 m, 0.8 m, 1.0 m, 1.2 m, 1.4 m, and 1.6 m. Based on the data of the time spent for each ball to fall, the tool is proven to have excellent accuracy with an accuracy of 94.38%, precision of 85.51%, an error of 1.18%, and can transmit the data as far as 60 m. The obtained gravitational acceleration for a 40 g massed ball is (9.86 ± 0.25) m/s2 and for a ball with mass of 70 g is (10.00 ± 0.22) m/s2 in a direction towards the center of gravity.
