FORMULASI SABUN HIPOALERGENIK DARI KOMBINASI MINYAK SEREH WANGI DAN EKSTRAK JAHE SERTA UJI AKTIVITASNYA TERHADAP JAMUR Candida albicans
Citronella (Cymbopogon nardus L.) and ginger (Zingiber officinale Rosc.) plants have secondary metabolites in the form of alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, terpenoids, tannins and essential oils that can act as antimicrobials. Citronella compounds from citronella and zingeron compounds from ginger can inhibit the growth of Candida albicans fungal cells. This study aims to formulate essential oils from citronella and ginger extracts as hypoallergenic soap and to determine the MIC against Candida albicans fungus from hypoallergenic soap preparations as well as the physical and chemical properties of hypoallergenic soap. Hypoallergenic soap was made by comparing the concentration of lemongrass essential oil and ginger extract with F1(5:10%), F2(10:5%), F3(5:5%), ketoconazole as positive control (+) and Cetaphil soap as control. (-). Analysis of physico-chemical properties and antifungal activity using SPSS 20. The results showed that formula 2 (F2) with a concentration of citronella essential oil: ginger extract (10:5%) showed the most stable characteristics in terms of formation. and the distinctive aroma of lemongrass oil. fragrance, pH (10.5±0.24), homogeneity, viscosity (479.68±117.73), high foam (0.93±0.22), alkali free (0.002±0.001), specific gravity (1 0.02±0.05), and the irritation test did not cause an itching reaction. The antifungal activity test of citronella oil obtained the value of the fungal growth inhibition zone of 15.66 ± 0.47 and the antifungal statistical test had a significant positive and negative difference between the treatment group (p < 0.5) and the F2 treatment group had wider antifungal activity.
