HUBUNGAN DERAJAT KEPARAHAN STROKE DENGAN INSOMNIA PADA PASIEN STROKE ISKEMIK DI RSUP DR. MOH. HOESIN PALEMBANG
Background: Stroke is a condition of damage to brain tissue caused by loss of perfusion to the blood vessels of the brain and causing loss of neurological function called stroke severity and can be assessed by NIHSS. Insomnia is one of the things that are often complained of by stroke patients. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the association between stroke severity and insomnia in ischemic stroke patients at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Method: This study is observational analytic study with cross sectional design. Ischemic stroke patients who fulfilled the inclusion and exclusion criteria as many as 53 people were taken as samples by consecutive sampling technique. Data was collected by conducting structured interviews and medical record observations, and then analyzed using the chi-square statistical test. Result: The results of the chi-square analysis showed an association between the stroke severity and insomnia (p=0,03). Conclusion: There is a significant association between stroke severity and insomnia in ischemic stroke patients at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang.
