PREVALENSI KANKER PROSTAT DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG PERIODE 1 JANUARI 2014 - 31 DESEMBER 2016
Background: Prostate cancer is the most common malignancy among other urogenital malignancies, especially affecting the men aged above 50 years old. The data about prostate cancer prevalences needs to be provided and updated for the importance of service planning particularly at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. This research aims to recognize the prevalence of prostate cancer at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Method: This research is a descriptive-observational research by using total sampling technique, which is all patients who underwent histopathology examination of prostate tissue in Pathological Anatomy Instalation RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang from period January 1st 2014 until December 31st 2016. Result: Prevalence of prostate cancer during 3 years was 14,84%. Distribution of prostate cancer was mostly found (40%) in age group 65-74 years old with distribution of Gleason score mostly (55,45%) in Gleason score 9. Distribution of PSA level was mostly found (87,1%) in group > 20 ng/ml. Distribution of PSA level for prostate cancer patient who had the most metastasis (100%) was found in group > 20 ng/ml with distribution of Gleason score which was mostly found (58,3%) in Gleason score 9. Conclusion: Prevalence of prostate cancer during period January 1st 2014 until December 31st 2016 was 14,84%. Patient of prostate cancer was mostly found in age group 65-74 years old with Gleason score 9. Patient of prostate cancer who had the most metastasis was mostly found with PSA level > 20 ng/ml and Gleason score 9.
