ANALISIS TUTUPAN KANOPI DAN DETEKSI PERUBAHAN LUASAN MANGROVE MENGGUNAKAN CITRA SENTINEL-2A MULTITEMPORAL DI KAWASAN MUARA UPANG KABUPATEN BANYUASIN, SUMATRA SELATAN
The coastal area is a meeting place for land and sea and provides a good type of substrate for the growth of mangroves. The use of mangrove land has been carried out by coastal communities to meet several needs, such as meeting the availability of land for aquaculture activities. The purpose of this study was to analyze the density of mangrove cover based on the ormalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) value and to monitor mangrove forest area changes in the Upang Estuary, Upang Makmur, Banyuasin, South Sumatra. This research was carried out in March 2021 using the Hemispherical Photography method which was processed using the Gap Light Analysis Mobile Application (GLAMA) and processing Sentinel-2A image data on QGIS software. The results showed that the mangrove forest area in Muara Upang from 2017-2021 decreased by 2,132.27 Ha, while the mangrove density level in 2021 was in good condition with the highest area being in the Dense class with an area of 527.33 Ha. The results of data processing show the strength of the NDVI relationship to the estimated value of canopy cover using GLAMA is r = 0.9613 which shows a very strong correlation. The results of the accuracy-test using the Confusion Matrix method obtained an overall accuracy value of 93%, while the kappa accuracy method obtained an accuracy rate of 92.31%.
