Introduction: Every part of human live can meet a certain pressures and difficulties for each person that can cause stress. Stress is the calculation of biological reactions to any adverse stimulus of physical, mental or emotional, internal or extemal, and tends to distrupt the homeostatis of the organism, one of which menstruation. Purpose: This research was done to determine the association between stress level with changes in menstrual pattem of medical students in Medica! Faculty of Sriwijaya University ffom 2008 - 2011. Methods: This research use an analytical study with a cross-sectional design. Data is collected using a questionnaire. Results: The results of this research are 29 individuals (28.1%) with normal psychological conditions and regular menstrual cycles, 66 people (64.0%) with stress condition and irregular menstrual cycles, and 8 people (7.7%) with stress condition and abnormal menstrual cycles (p = 0,102). From the data get 26 people (25.2%) with normal psychological conditions and normal menstrual periods; 3 people (2.9%) with normal psychological conditions and abnormal menstrual periods; 68 people (66.0%) with stress condition with normal menstrual periods; 6 people with stress conditions with abnormal menstrual periods (0,709). 11 people (10.6%) with normal psychological conditions without dysmenorrhea; 18 people (17.4%) normal psychological conditions and dysmenorrhea; 56 people (54.3%) stress condition without dysmenorrhea; 18 people (17.4%) with stress condition and dysmenorrhea (p = 0,001). Conclusion: Based on the results, it can be concluded that there is no association between stress level with changes in menstrual pattem (p = 0,296).
