Ludwig's Angina is a serious Progressive infection as a severe cellulitis in submandibu/ar, sublingual, and submenial spaces that occur caused by the teeth infection and a respiratoiy obslruction also occur s caused by the frictions of the tongue /o the superior and posterior positions thus may lead to dealh. Ludwig's Angina can occur a t any age in rnale or female. Nowadays, there has no any research about the total case of Ludwig's Angina y e t, especially i n Palembang. Iherefore, we need research t o see the the total case of Ludwig's Angina by sex and age i n Dentistry and Oral Clinic RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang period Januaiy 2009-December 2013. The field of this study is a descrip/ive survey research wilh cross sectional design that used a total sampling technique. The samples in this research were patients that have been registered into medical record of Dentistry and Oral Clinic RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang period Januaiy 2009-December 2013. The result of this research showed the total case of Ludwig’s Angina are 15 people that rnore occur i n mal e in the amount of 8 people (53,33%) and i n the age range 21-30 years were 4 people (26,67%). The conclusion is the cases of Ludwig’s Angina most cornmon i n male patients in the decade second unti/ third.
