ANALISIS KEKASARAN PERMUKAAN DENGAN RESPONSE SURFACE METHODOLOGY PADA KONDISI PEMESINAN MENGGUNAKAN NANOFLUID AL2O3 DALAM SISTEM MINIMUM QUANTITY LUBRICATION
High-performance steel machining naturally increases the temperature of the high-temperature cutting zone such as causing dimensional deviations and premature failure of the cutting tool. In addition to also damaging the surface integrity of the product, optimization of freis machining parameters and the ratio between two vegetable oil-based cutting fluids to the surface roughness of the steel workpiece AISI 1045. The cutting fluids used are virgin coconut oil and coconut oil with 1% mixture of Al2O3 nanoparticles. The varied freis machining parameters are cutting speed, feeding motion. Central Composite Design Actual Experiments, and Variance Analysis (ANOVA) used to analyze the impact of such machining parameters. The analysis carried out showed that the optimal combination of machining parameters to achieve low surface roughness is a high cutting speed and a low feeding rate. The comparison of cutting fluids to surface roughness shows that coconut oil with a mixture of nanoparticles is capable of producing better surface roughness
