Background: Molar pregnancy is a trophoblastic gestational condition. Trophoblastic tissue produce human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) hormone. In several condition elevated level of P-hCG serum may lead to some condition such as hyperemesis gravidarum dan hyperthyroidism. The aim of this study is to find out the relationship between P-hcg serum and hyperemesis gravidarum and hyperthyroidism in molar pregnancy at mohammad hoesin general hospital Palembang. Method: This study is an observational analytic study on 32 medical records in Medical Records Department of Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital Palembang. Samples of this study were all of medical records data of molar pregnancy patients in January 2011-December 2012. Data were collected then analyzed using chi square. Result: There is a relationship between elevated level of p-hCG serum and hyperemesis gravidarum (p0,05). Conclusion: Elevated level of p-hCG serum is related to hyperemesis gravidarum in molar pregnancy patients.
