RUMAH SAKIT KHUSUS STROKE DI KOTA PALEMBANG
According to the Indonesian Association of Occupational Therapists, there are about 550.000 new patients who experience neurological disorders (stroke) in every year. The high number of stroke sufferers is inversely proportional to the availability of hospitals that are able to handle stroke in Indonesia. This condition makes stroke sufferers get less attention and prompt treatment. This design is carried out as a form of meeting the needs of treatment and rehabilitation for stroke patients, especially in the city of Palembang. The concept used is ergonomic architecture whose meaning itself is to harmonize environmental conditions with the limitations or capabilities of the users, so that patients can maximize their activities. Stroke patients in general have difficulty moving so that access from some parts of the body is very minimal so the design considers patient access either by vehicle or walking alone. Then in this design the level of patient safety is also considered so as to minimize collisions due to the inability of nerves and muscles while working. The last is to provide an atmosphere that makes the patient more relaxed naturally while undergoing therapy, this is applied especially to the interior of the building so that the patient is psychologically and emotionally moved to recover.
