IDENTIFIKASI SENYAWA ALKALOID BUAH TEMBESU (FAGRAEA FRAGRANS ROXB) DAN UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIBAKTERI
Tembesu (Fagraea fragrans Roxb) are widely grown in the Ogan Ilir area, South Sumatra. Tembesu fruit is a plant that contains alkaloid compounds and has many benefits as herbal medicine. This research aims to identify the alkaloid compounds contained in the tembesu fruit and the antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria. Alkaloids are known as organic base compounds containing nitrogen atoms but the degree of basicity varies. The alkaloid compounds in this study were extracted using the maceration method using ether as a solvent and liquid-liquid extraction using ethyl acetate as a solvent. The purification process was carried out by gravity column chromatography (KKG) and eluted with 40% ethyl acetate in n-hexane. Three alkaloid compounds have been identified from tembesu fruit based on the LCMS data obtained. The three compounds are genentialutine, gentianine, and isaindigotone. The LCMS spectral results gave protonated molecular ion peaks at m/z (r.t. min) = 150.08 (1.39), 176.06 (4.53), and 351.37 (5.23) respectively. The antibacterial activity test data showed that the alkaloid compounds from the tembesu fruit did not provide a value for the diameter of the inhibition zone against S. aureus and P. aerginosa bacteria, so it can be seen that the isolated alkaloid compounds from tembesu fruit did not have antibacterial properties.
