The location of this research is in the Muaro Region, Sijunjung District, Sijunjung Regency, West Sumatra Province. The research area has a high morphology with unstable slope conditions and steep slope conditions so that this situation is one of the factors causing landslides in the study area. The research was conducted using field observation methods to obtain evidence of landslides that occurred in the study area and then slope stability analysis was carried out based on remote sensing using vegetation index (NDVI) and relief diversity parameters. The data analysis process was carried out using a GIS application, Landsat 8 data related to the vegetation index, as well as other supporting data. The NDVI and relief diversity parameters show a mutual relationship with each other, where if the relief diversity parameter value is low then the NDVI value and vice versa. Landslide Prone Map is created by overlaying all the parameter maps which are then calculated. The research area shows the potential for landslides to occur so that a framework is needed as a reference in efforts to mitigate landslides in the research area.
