ANALISIS PERUBAHAN MORFOMETRI MEANDER SUB DAERAH ALIRAN SUNGAI SERAYU, KABUPATEN BANYUMAS DAN CILACAP, JAWA TENGAH
The Serayu sub-watershed is administratively located in Banyumas and Cilacap Regencies, Central Java Province, with a total research area of 707.48 km2. This research was conducted to determine the changes in meander morphometry that occurred in the Serayu sub-watershed due to its dynamic nature. Changes in meander morphometry were observed by comparing river flows in 1995 and 2019 which have been visualized from the results of processing satellite image data in both years. The comparison includes the formation of the river channel and the consequences of parameter calculations which have value, river width (W), radius of curvature (R), neck length of meander (L), axis length (A), length of water flow (S), and sinuosity. (C). The occurrence of changes can not be separated from the factors that exist around the Serayu Sub-watershed. These factors are geological conditions, rainfall conditions, and land cover. The geological state of the study area is composed of the Gabon Formation (Tomg), Breccia Member Halang Formation (Tmb), Halang Formation (Tmh), Tapak Formation (Tpt), Basalt Formation (Tpb), Step Sediment (Qt), and Alluvium (Qa), with various types of lithology and resistance levels. Rainfall conditions based on an analysis of the annual average for a 31 years (1995-2025) show that the level of rainfall in the study area is relatively moderate, especially in the upstream part of the river and decreases in the downstream portion of the river. There are five types of land cover in the research area, namely, forest plantations, dryland agriculture, dryland agriculture mixed with shrubs, settlements, and rice fields, which change every year due to land-use change. These three factors affect the process and rate of erosion resulting in changes the shape and value of the meander parameter of the Serayu Sub-watershed. Based on the results of the analysis of the data that has been processed, the Serayu Sub-watershed undergoes changes in meander morphometry classified into several types and processes. This change will continue over time due to the dynamic nature of the river. Keywords: Serayu sub-watershed, meander morphology, rainfall, land cover.
