SIFAT FISIK DAN MEKANIK MORTAR GEOPOLIMER DENGAN VARIASI RASIO ALKALI AKTIVATOR TERHADAP FLY ASH
Geopolymer mortar is a material consisting of a mixture of a binder in the form of geopolymer paste and a filler material in general, as known as fine aggregate. The geopolymer paste is a combination of pozzolan materials that has high levels of silica (SiO2) and alumina (Al2O3) as high as the precursor and also alkaline activator solution as a solvent in the polymerization process. This research is one of the various variations that will be investigated on geopolymer mortar with a review of the ratio between alkaline activator in the form of Na2SiO3 and NaOH to a precursor in the form of fly ash as a substitute for cement. The variation used for the ratio of alkaline activator solution to fly ash used is 1.50; 1.55; 1.60; 1.65; and 1.70. In addition, based on various related journals, it was determined that the concentration value of NaOH used in this study was 14 M, with a ratio of Na2SiO3 to NaOH used is 0.80, the ratio of fine aggregate to the precursor that used in this research was 2.75 and the superplasticizer are 3% of the total amount of precursor (fly ash) used. Physical properties testing is carried out in the form of slump flow testing and for testing mechanical properties using specific gravity and compressive strength tests. The results of slump flow test concluded that the greater the ratio of the alkaline activator solution to the fly ash used, the higher thevalue slump flow that occurred. In the specific gravity test, the lowest density value of geopolymer mortar was found at a ratio of 1.70 with a fresh mortar density of 1.532 gr/cm3. The greatest compressive strength produced was found in the ratio variation of 1.60 with an average compressive strength of 12.70 MPa of mortar when the mortar was 28 days old.
