Iron sand in Indonesia is an abundant resource but its use is still very minimal, so that iron sand is considered a natural resource that is less economical and its utilization is not optimal. While iron sand itself is in the order of the most elements forming the earth. So far, the material used as fine aggregate in flexible pavement mixtures is natural sand, which generally comes from rivers. Along with increasing development, the need for basic pavement construction materials also increases, so it is required to look for other alternatives by utilizing available natural resources (Almanar and Makassan, 2002). minimum 55%. Generally the levels contained in iron sand do not meet the requirements for making asphalt, so a processing process is carried out on iron sand feeds to increase the levels of Fe in order to achieve the requirements for making asphalt. This study aims to analyze the iron sand feed, analyze the factors that affect the variables of water discharge, blow frequency, and stroke length in the iron sand processing using a pan American jig on the concentration and recovery levels, so that it can be seen the variation of the variable that produces the appropriate level. with the condition that the raw material for the manufacture of asphalt. The water discharge used is 28 L/minute, 34 L/minute, 40 L/minute. The frequency of the blows used are 19 rpm, 21 rpm, and 23 rpm. And the length of the punch used is 0.5 mm, 0.6 mm, and 0.7 mm. Based on the research, there were 9 experiments that resulted in levels that did not meet the requirements for making asphalt. The highest Fe content was in the variation of water discharge 28 L/minute, the frequency of stroke was 34 rpm, and the stroke length was 0.7 mm, which was 92.39%. And the lowest recovery value was at a discharge variation of 40 L/min, a stroke frequency of 19 rpm, and a stroke length of 0.5 mm, which was 78.46%.
