UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIBAKTERI EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN SAMBILOTO (ANDROGRAPHIS PANICULATA NESS.) DAN FRAKSI-FRAKSINYA TERHADAP BAKTERI PENYEBAB PNEUMONIA
The antibacterial activity of the ethanol extract of bitter leaf (Andrographis paniculata ness.) and its fractions has been tested against bacteria that cause pneumonia. This research begins with the extraction process and produces a thick extract of 42.723 grams with a yield of 14.241%. Then fractionation was done using KCV and obtained 4 fractions. The antibacterial test was carried out using the disc diffusion method and the MIC value was determined by the liquid dilution method using a spectrophotometer UV-Vis. Based on the results of antibacterial testing, the ethanolic extract of bitter leaf and its fractions had an inhibition zone, fraction 3 had the highest inhibition zone on S. pneumoniae and K. pneumoniae bacteria and fraction 4 had the highest inhibition zone on S. aureus bacteria with the value of the inhibition zone at concentrations 50,000 ppm of 11.2 each; 11.93 and 11.37 mm and the MIC value was 3.125, respectively; 6,250 and 12,500 ppm. The most active fractions, namely fractions 3 and 4, were analyzed for their compound content using LC-MS/MS. Based on the analysis of LC-MS/MS data from fraction 3, there were 4 compounds identified while in fraction 4 there were 5 compounds. The compounds identified from the two fractions include andrographolide compounds and their derivatives which have antibacterial activity against bacteria that cause pneumonia
