PENGARUH SUHU ELEKTROLIT KHCO3 DAN WAKTU ELEKTROLISIS PADA KONVERSI CO2 MENJADI METANOL DENGAN ELEKTROLISER SINGLE DAN DOUBLE STACK
The conversion of CO2 to methanol with temperature variations in KHCO3 electrolyte and electrolysis time using the electrochemical reduction method with MEA has been completed. The electrolyzer used in this study is a single and double stack electrolyzer. The concentration of the methanol product resulting from CO2 reduction was measured using a methanol analyzer for each variation. In temperature variations, the highest concentration obtained at room temperature is 71.60%. Meanwhile, the methanol concentration with temperature variations of 40ºC, 50ºC, dan 60ºC was 63.76%, 44.28% and 42.24%, respectively. Measurement of the pH of each methanol used a digital pH meter with an initial pH value of 11 and the resulting pH of each methanol was 5.8, 5.5, 5.4 and 5.6. Then, in the variation of electrolysis time, the highest concentration obtained in 2 hours was 79.06%. While the concentration of methanol in a row with a time variation of 4 hours, 6 hours, and 8 hours was 61.05%, 58.18% and 57.55%.
