The objective of this experiment was to study the effect of some media plant mixture and cytokinin application to the growth, the production and the freshness flower period of Tuberose (.Polianthes tuberosa). The experiment was conducted at 19 Ilir District, Palembang City, from July 2005 to February 2006. The experiment was arranged in Randomized Completely Design and arranged in factorially with two factors of treatment and three replications. The first factor was media plant mixture, Mi (soil:manure:husk), M2( soil:manure:wood shavings), M3 (soil.manure), M4 (wood shavings:manure) and M5 (huskrmanure), and the second factor was cytokinin dosages, Zi (0,5 cc L'1), Z2 ( 1 cc L'1) and Z3 (1,5 cc L'1). The result show that Mi (soil:manure:husk) and M3 (soilrmanure) gave a significant effect to the clump height, increased of leaves number, stalk length, number of flower bud each stalk flower, number of stalk flower each clump and flower freshness period. M5 (husk:manure) gave a significant effect to the increased number of young plant. Cytokinin dosages (Zi, Z2, Z3) and the interaction between media plant mixture and cytokinin dosages gave nonsignificant effect to increased growth and production of Tuberose {Polianthes tuberosa).
