STRATEGI GASTRODIPLOMASI THAILAND DALAM MENINGKATKAN CITRA POSITIF NEGARA
This research aims to determine the strategy that carried out by the Thai government to improve the country's positive image by relying on the culinary sector. This type of research is descriptive-qualitative by using qualitative data that obtained from literature studies that relevant to this research. The author uses contextual and categorical analysis techniques, namely by matching the research data with the consular definition. The results of the research show that Thailand has succeeded in carrying out its gastrodiplomacy strategy to improve the positive image of its nation. Several programs run by Thailand such as revitalize the Kitchen of The World 2018, halal food tourism, festivals abroad that have had a good impact on Thailand such as the increasing number of Thai restaurants abroad. Thailand is also trying to create a positive image of its country in the eyes of the world, by boosting local cuisine so that it can improve Thailand's image in the eyes of the world in a more positive direction.
