REPRESENTASI BEBAN GANDA PEREMPUAN SEBAGAI ORANG TUA TUNGGAL PADA FILM “SUSAH SINYAL” (ANALISIS SEMIOTIKA PADA FILM "SUSAH SINYAL").
Movie is a form of media to delivered messages that used by the movie maker in a verbal and non-verbal forms. This study deals with the representation of the double burden of women as a single mother in the film of "Susah Signal", therefore the theory that used as the basis for this research is the theory of Roland Barthe called the theory of semiotic analysis and Mansour Fakih's dual role theory as a supporting theory. This study uses qualitative approach to find out how to represent women's double burden as a single mother in the film "Susah Signal". Data collection techniques used in this research are documentation and literature study. The results of this study explain that in several scenes in the film there are denotations, connotations and myths that contain elements of the double burden of women as single parents. Based on the description of the research results, the conclusion that can be drawn is that in several scenes in the film, elements of the double burden of women as single parents are found in the form of subordination, stereotypes, violence and excessive workload.
