FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN KESIAPAN TENAGA KESEHATAN MELAKUKAN TINDAKAN BANTUAN HIDUP DASAR DI PUSKESMAS KOTA LUBUKLINGGAU
Cardiac arrest is one of most common cardiovascular causes of death. The incidence of cardiac arrest in Indonesia is unknown, but there are more than 5 million people with cardiovascular disease, so it can be said that the risk of cardiac arrest in Indonesia is quite high. The first aid that can be given to cardiac arrest patients is perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) which is one component of Basic Life Support (BLS). The results of preliminary studies and journal searches found that there were still many health workers who were not ready to take BLS action. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors related to the readiness of health workers at the puskesmas to take BLS action. The method used in this study is quantitative with a cross-sectional using a questionnaire on the readiness of health workers to perform BLS. The sampling used total sampling with the number of respondents as many as 50 health center workers in Lubuklinggau City. Statistical test chi square showed that there was a relationship between knowledge and readiness (p-value = 0.028), a relationship between training and readiness (p-value = 0.002), and a relationship between experience and readiness (p- value = 0.000 ). This research shows that the better the level of knowledge, having attended training, and having BHD experience, the better a health workers readiness to do BLS will be. Increased knowledge and skills through training on BLS are very much needed to improve the readiness of health workers to carry out BLS.
