This study aims to determine the Effectiveness of Spending on U-20 Football Governor's Cup Activities in 2021 at the South Sumatra Provincial Youth and Sports Service based on the assessment of the organizers of the U-20 Football Governor’s Cup activities in 2021. The existing problems are motivated by the occurrence of a incompatibilities between the budget given and those realized in the 2021 U-20 Football Governor's Cup Activities at the South Sumatra Provincial Youth and Sports Office. This research was analyzed using the concept of a target approach from Martani and Lubis (1987) in Ade Risna Sari (2021:4) by measuring effectiveness based on the Decree of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 690.900-327 of 1996. The data collection technique used is a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The data collection techniques used include questionnaires and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the effectiveness of spending on the 2021 U-20 Football Governor's Cup activities at the South Sumatra Province Youth and Sports Office is categorized as a less effective effectiveness value of 78 percent. Based on the above result, the efforts that must be made by the Youth and Sports Office of the South Sumatra Province are collaborating with 17 district/city governments in the South Sumatra region and synchronizing the budget with the realization of the expenditure budget.
