This research is entitled Preparation of Press Release by Public Relations of the Regional Secretariat of Mesuji Regency, Lampung Province. Press releases are described to help public relations to convey information to journalists. The formulation of the problem discussed in this study is how to prepare a press release by the public relations secretariat of the Mesuji Regency, Lampung Province. While the purpose of the study was to find out how the preparation of press releases as a medium of information for journalists at the regional secretariat of public relations, Mesuji district, Lampung province, news and audio visual section. This type of research is qualitative research. The data collection method used observation, namely direct observation in the field, open and in-depth interviews by asking questions to related parties regarding the preparation of press releases by the public relations of the regional secretariat of the Mesuji Regency, Lampung Province, as well as documentation to view important archives and data regarding the research that the author did. The data obtained will be analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method, namely by describing, explaining in depth all the problems formulated in the subject matter firmly and clearly, so that the research can be understood easily. Based on the theory used, the results of the study indicate that the preparation of press releases by the Public Relations of the regional secretariat of the Mesuji Regency, Lampung Province, namely the effective communication carried out by PR for journalists is carried out quite well and the press release media is very useful and creates satisfaction for journalists, as well as information provided by the regional secretariat public relations has gone quite well.
