UPAYA PERUSAHAAN MULTINASIONAL DALAM MENGURANGI SAMPAH PLASTIK (STUDI KASUS : THE BODY SHOP)
It is undeniable that beauty products are needed by women and men to take care of themselves and increase self-confidence in a person. The more people who care about the appearance and health of the body also contribute to various types of waste that will pollute the enviromental, for example waste from various kinds of plastic bottle and containers of beauty products. This certainly raises their own concerns for the community and makes them more careful in choosing products that will reduce waste and care about the enviromental. One brand of cosmetic and body care products that participates in supporting enviromental preservation is The Body Shop. The brand provides a variety of products such a soap, lip tint, and other products. This study aims to find out what efforts are Made by The Body Shop in reducing plastic waste. With this research, it is hoped that the public itu will be able to realize the bad impact that will occur if the cannot handle the problem of plastic waste by method used is qualitative data analysis techniques with content analysis to form ideas to help decipher textual data in order to find the most common data revealed in The Body Shop efforts in dealing with the problem of the plastic waste. Researchers use green marketing theory to find out how the efforts made by The Body Shop in reducing waste use 4 elements, namely green price, Gren place, green product, and green promotion. The results of this study indicate that The Body Shop as a multinational company seeks to reduce plastic waste by implementing green marketing into its company.
