UJI KINERJA DAN KETAHANAN MEMBRANE ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY (MEA) DENGAN KATALIS Pt-Co/C PADA MULTI STEK PROTON EXCHANGE MEMBRANE FUEL CELL (PEMFC)
MEMBRANE ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY (MEA) PERFORMANCE AND DURABILITY TEST WITH Pt-Co/C CATALYST ON MULTISTACK PROTON EXCHANGE MEMBRANE FUEL CELL (PEMFC) Eko Afrizal, Supervised by Dr. Dedi Rohendi, M.T. and Dr. Addy Rachmat, M.Si Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Sriwijaya University. x+43 pages, 1 Table, 9 Pictures and 7 Attachments Performances and durability testing of the Membrane Electrode Assembly (MEA) with Pt-Co/C catalyst on Multistack Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) has been carried out. The MEA used in this study were 3 pieces with each size of 6.33 x 30 cm2. Based on the results of the characterization using the Cyclic voltammetry (CV) method, the ECSA value was 1.0011 x 10-9 cm2/g and the conductivity value for the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy method was 1.5439 x 10-8 S/cm. In addition, the performance of MEA is also tested by varying the load (current density) so that it will produce an I-V curve and an I-P curve. The value of Open Circuit Voltage (OCV) is 1.901 V and the optimum power density is 6.3154 mW/cm2 with optimum load is 7.193 mA/cm2. The MEA durability test was carried out for 10 hours at optimum load. The durability of MEA during loading within 10 hours at optimum load decreased the voltage from 0.98 V to 0.629 V with a difference of 0.351 V.
