Removable partial denture is a denture which replaces one or more missing teeth in the same arch, it can be removed from the mouth and replaced by the patient. Removable partial denture are used to reestablish the phonetics, aesthetics, masticatory function and take care of oral tissues which still remains for partially edentulous patients. Application of acrylic removable partial denture can give bad impact to the oral health. The bad impact for example increase of plaque accumulation and caries, damage of periodontal tissues including alveolar bone resorption and also inflammation of soft tissues, li/ce denture stomatitis, papillary hyperplasia and epulis fissuratum. The simple design and correct contour of the removable partial denture, high motivation of patient to take care denture hygiene and oral health, and also routine periodic visit can prevent the bad impact.
