This research is entitled "Analysis of Local Owned Income to the Ratio of Independence in the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency of South Sumatra Province". The purpose of this study was to determine the level of regional independence ratio of South Sumatra Province in the 2016-2020 budget period. The research method chosen in this study is the mix method. The data mix method is obtained by combining or connecting between qualitative and quantitative research methods. The results of this study indicate that the level of financial independence of the South Sumatra Province in 2016 - 2020 is in the medium criteria or is considered quite independent in carrying out financing and government activities. The highest ratio gain occurred in 2017 which was 74.65%, this is supported by the active action of BAPENDA and other interested parties to conduct inspections on companies that have not paid taxes. The decline in the independence level ratio occurred during the 2020 pandemic which caused the independence ratio to fall to 57.44%. One of the instruments that can increase PAD comes from taxes. The hampered infrastructure development in the South Sumatra Province is indicated because the budget is not running smoothly. The largest source of PAD in South Sumatra Province comes from vehicle taxes, both on land and in waters/sea vehicles.
