VANDALISME REMAJA DI KELURAHAN TANJUNG ENIM KECAMATAN LAWANG KIDUL KABUPATEN MUARA ENIM.
This study examines vandalism commited by adolescents with the aim of understanding in depth the socio-economic background of adolescents, forms of vandalism, and describing juvenile vandalism in Tanjung Enim Village, Lawang Kidul District, Muara Enim Regency. This research is expected to be helpful for the development of sociology and the consideration of the village government in formulating policies regarding juvenile vandalism. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research with a case study strategy. The results of this study indicate that the socioeconomic background of adolescents who commit acts of vandalism in Tanjung Enim Village is in the middle economic class; vandalism commited by adolescents is based on lack of supervision from the family environment, friends, liquor, and jokes. The acts of juvenile vandalism occured in the form of defamation vandalism and theft; vandalism perpetrated by teenagers is considered an extension of the game that aims to entertain the perpetrator and his friends. The security forces have implemented a deterrence strategy by setting up police lines, conducting patrols and disciplinary operations, and placing supervisory bodies.
