PRAKTIK BARTER PADA MASYARAKAT PASAR GAJAH DESA SURYA ADI KECAMATAN MESUJI DI ERA PANDEMI COVID-19
This study discusses "Practice of Trading at Gajah Market Community, Surya Adi Village, Mesuji District in the Era of the Covid-19 Pandemic". The data used in this study are primary and secondary data obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. Then the data obtained were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis methods which explained in detail about practic of trading and the socio-economic conditions of the community. The purpose of this study is to find out how the socio-economic life of the community, the process practices of trading that occur at the Gajah Market, Surya Adi Village and the form of trading itself. The results of this study are that the socio-economic life of the community has also experienced changes both in terms of social, namely changes in community interactions and activities that are more intense, changes in response and changes in mindsets in the community, while in the economic aspect, among others are changes in the ease of transaction systems and there is good cooperation between the communities themselves. Then the practice of trading carried out by the community usually goes through several stages, including checking goods, determining prices, and finally an agreement between the two parties. Meanwhile, the forms of trading found are direct trading, transfer system trading and also counter-purchase trading which they are still using for transactions.
